The job of the processing section is to receive request from the head of the department/Library Committee/ Students for procurement of new books. Once the recommendation are received from different departments this section verifies it against the Library Catalogue in order to avoid duplication. Once it is verified then it is placed in the Library committee meetings and get it approved. Then the order for purchase is placed with the library vendors/publishers. After the receipt of the order the accessioning work of these books and processing of bills for payment are taken place. Suggestion and recommendation for the purchase of books are to be submitted to this section. Since this section is automated with LIBMAN software the data entry for the books are done in the section. Once the books are completely processed they are sent to the respective section. Rather than these duties it also looks after the purchase of periodicals (journals & magazines) & Newspapers. This section is looked after by Mrs. Aruna Betkiker, Asst Librarian and assisted by Mrs. Rubiya Komarpant, Library Assistant & Mr. Devidas Gaude, MTS.
